The Lair is in the middle of renovations. It all started with getting a few posters framed. Where do I put them? The posters serve as quasi-room walls by cutting off the Lair from the rest of the basement.
Also I wanted a standing desk for writing. I have a standing desk at work and love it. It has worked so well that I wanted to continue that at home too. Standing desk for computer gaming, for writing, for playing PS3 games (something my son introduced me to) and maybe even for watching movies.
Lair 1.0 was overdue for a overhaul. Not a pro overhaul. The general contractor for our kitchen caught a glimpse of the Lair and asked what that was. I could see the glint in his eye – bemused at my amateur-hour collection of bookshelves and hanging extension cords – thrilled at the concept of turning my money into a real Lair plus probably a new car for him. But that is not to be for Lair 2.0. Maybe 3.0 or 4.0.

Hello, just wanted to mention, I loved this post. It was inspiring. Keep on posting
