Now that the Speaker of the House has offered an austerity crisis plan that reduces the Consumer Price Index, which determines the Social Security cost of living adjustment (COLA), in some ways, the COLA wars have begun.

I usually don’t mention my other professional life. But I couldn’t resist using the Yoda line from Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones. Would you expect any less from me? This shouldn’t surprise any of the regular (and lately, patient) readers of this blog.

That’s about all the comment you’ll get from me about the current budget debate.

With NaNoWriMo over, I plan to get back into this blog and get a plan together for where this writing career of mine is headed.

You don’t need COLA bwars to decide everything.
Just do what is expected from Congress.
” Every other year just slip the old folks a 1 percent increase.”
When they complain tell the usual old excuses.

Hmmm…we are more interested in your ideas for the new Star Wars movie in 2015. Stupid fiscal cliff gets more than enough press in all the major newspapers.
